Cosmocalyx spectabilis
This species is from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. It is also called Redheart. Freshly cut it is a brilliant red color which darkens on exposure.
These have some cracks that can be filled with resin or super glue. We thought they would be nicer in the large width than cutting all the defects out. Priced accordingly.
