The main origin for this beautiful wood is Myanmar (formerly Burma). It is hard and heavy with a color that ranges from reddish -orange to a deep red, oftentimes with dark stripes. It is not too hard to work and has a very nice tap tone. It is very rare to see such nice quality sets in the sizes we offer.
